Guest guest
, I don't have any knowledge to share with you regarding Summer's condition, but I do want to welcome her into your family. She is getting off to a rough start, but she is getting good care and I just know she will come through okay. Now, as for you, you need to make sure you are taking care of yourself! I hope you are getting much needed rest. It is so stressful to have a new baby without problems and with Summer in the NICU, it just makes things so much more complicated. Try to get lots of sleep, 'cause you're going to need it once Summer goes home! In the meantime, I know you all will be in my prayers and I'm sure in the prayers of many others on this listserve. Please keep us updated. If nothing else, it helps to put your feelings into words and release some of the worry, frustration and anxiety. Jodi Z P.S. Max has dealt with OCD, anxiety and PDD-like symptoms (not Aspberger's, but still.....). With the exception of a rough night tonight, he has largely overcome these issues and learned to deal with them in a healthy manner. It's taken a lot of time, money, patience and dedication to get him where he is, but he is so much better than he ever has been. I am telling you this to give you hope about Skye. It all seems like so much now, but hang in there. It WILL get better!
Guest guest
Congratulations on your new addition! I hope that you discover answers. I have read in some research about SGA-born children (especially late-trimester IUGR) that once one sibling is born this way, the risks are significantly higher for a second sibling to be born SGA. (Now, this is not necessarily the same as children born with short SGA -- complicated). I am confident that your daughter is in great hands at that hospital, and that they will figure out what is going on and help her. Please know that we are thinking of you and your new daughter. Prayers are with you! > Hi all. I just wrote a post and it vanished when I hit send. I > just wanted to ask you all a question. Autumn is doing good, she is > up to 17 lbs as of a couple of days ago. Guest guest
Hey , Sounds like you have a lot going on. Like Jodi Z said make sure you get rest as often as you can. First congratulations on baby Summer. I have no answer to offer but will pray for her. I'm glad you finally got an answer for Skye. It will make doing research and asking questions easier now that you have an answer. You also know that you will always get good advice, help and support here. I am happy to hear Autumn is doing well. I will keep you all in my prayers. Please keep us posted on Summer. B 5 1/2 and Kelli 2 3/4 --- anderkat3 wrote: > Hi all. Guest guest
Hi , Congrats on the birth of Summer. I love her name. I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with so much right now, but hang in there. I do have some thoughts on what Summer may be doing though. I emailed you privately and I hope you can access the link that I sent. Let me know if you can't. I am also going to try to put it on this post, but you know how that goes. Here it is. http://nips.med-web.com/Handouts/Individual%20Pages/ltm.htm had trouble when he was born with blue spells after I would try to feed him. And, he breathed weird in certain positions. It was sort of loud. Have you noticed any loud breathing with her? Anyway, this is just something you can read and see if it sounds like her. The good thing is, she will grow out of it, if this is what is going on. Their airways are very floopy so the slightest position can set all of this off. I hope this helps you. Let us know what you find out. The link will take you to a website on Tracheomalacia and Laryngomalacia. They are very similar. Take care and I am thinking about you, Jodi R. > Hi all.
