Way to go Claire! I know exactly how you must have felt . I think about

playing sports all the time. With some of his other issues, I know he

may not be the most graceful, but I will sure be the most proud!

Claire.. on Tuesday she went straight from ballet -- and out of her

pink tights and ballet flats, into shin guards and cleats -- for her

first soccer practice!

She loved it, and I can brag that she did great! Ran all around,

dribbling the ball, making shots .. after only an hour before doing

plie's and grand jetes in ballet. =)

Of course these are typical fun milestones for any parent to cheer

on .. but you all know how much more emotional it is given the

clubfoot story. I have to say it had a familiar feel to it, strapping

on shin guards and lacing up shoes.. but this time for sporting

reasons!

I'll let you know how it goes, and maybe post a pic of her in actio..

I love reading about the 'little' milestones that Claire has. They warm my

heart and make me look forward to when is a bit older, and a bit

older.each age there's something new to be proud of. Not that I don't love

him at this age, he's a really nice kid . at the advanced age of 3!

Just wanted to share a proud mommy moment with my 5 year old daughter

Claire.. on Tuesday she went straight from ballet -- and out of her

pink tights and ballet flats, into shin guards and cleats -- for her

first soccer practice!

She loved it, and I can brag that she did great! Ran all around,

dribbling the ball, making shots .. after only an hour before doing

plie's and grand jetes in ballet. =)

Of course these are typical fun milestones for any parent to cheer

clubfoot story. I have to say it had a familiar feel to it, strapping

on shin guards and lacing up shoes.. but this time for sporting

reasons!

HI Claire! THanks so much for sharing! I know it gives us all something to look

forward to. That is so great! I too want to enroll my daughter but in

gymnastics. She is very flexible and I thought that since she loves to jump and

run around all day that could be something she would enjoy.

Was your daughter unilateral or bilateral? And when was she released from her

brace?

Well so nice of you to share I am sure you are One Proud Mama!!

Thanks, all..

, she is unilateral, left. She actually wore the brace till

very recently. (to be on the safe side, never any setbacks.)

I know you'll enjoy seeing start doing the same sort of

activities.. gymnastics, soccer.. the time will be here before you

know it! =)
