Guest guest
I have been reading books, posts etc. and have a general idea about the different issues surrounding autism but I need some help pulling it all together. On one hand some say it is inborn and others say it is caused by an incident (such as mercury poisoning). Which is it? Or is it that one is born with the inability to fight the poisoning? I am convinced by my son's reaction to the diet that it plays an important part in helping him but how does that fit in with the fact he has a high level of antimony? Does he have a leaky gut because he has been poisoned or is his body unable to protect itself from the poisoning because of the leaky gut? How does candida fit in all this? Does the candida cause the leaky gut or does the leaky gut cause the candida? Is autism really a neurological disorder or simply a dietary disorder? If my son never had gluten & casein, would he be autistic today? If I was to chelate my son, wouldn't he just pick up toxic elements again (is he a magnet for metals)? Why do so many autistic kids have multiple allergies in addition to gluten & casein. HELP!
