Guest guest
Hi , Our RSS son has been diagnosed by a highly recommended psychiatrist as PDD. BUT, even he said he can't determine for sure if it is PDD or PDD-like tendancies. What Dr H told us was she was seeing a lot more PDD like tendancies in her RSS patients. However, she can't determine yet if this is part of the RSS or due to our " undiagnosed " children going hypoglycemic at night when they are little. For example, we stopped giving a nighttime bottle at the appropriate age (whatever that was) for a normal child. But, he wasn't diagnosed until 13 months. That means there was a period of time where he was probably going hypoglycemic at night. That is what may have contributed to the PDD. There is no way to know for sure at this time.
