Guest guest
After a month of having my 3 yo son refuse any and all milk substitutes I offered him, I came across Almond Breeze. It is thick and sweet and he absolutely loves it. He loves it so much I can put any supplement in it and I know he will drink it. It comes in original, vanilla (my son's favorite) and chocolate flavor and they even have handy little 8 oz boxes that are great for sending to school with him. This all seemed too good to be true so I finally contacted Blue Diamond Growers Co-Op to check the purity of Almond Breeze. This was their response..... Is Almond Breeze gluten-free? A: Yes. Is Almond Breeze casein free? A: Yes. To answer your second question-here is a response from our Sam Cunningham, Ph D Director Almond Research Center: " Breeze is produced on an aseptic processing line within a dairy plant. The line also runs milk and cream. To my knowledge, there are no other products run on the same line that contain gluten but most of the other products run on that line do contain casein, the protein in milk. Evenso, a full clean cycle is conducted prior to running our product, assuring no cross-contamination from milk in our Breeze. In addition, routine tests are conducted to verify absence of any milk ingredients. " Yeah!!!
