Vegan cheese

I was grocery shopping yesterday and the woman in charge of the

health food dept. said the yellow(calling it cheddar is too much of a

stretch)vegan cheese singles are no longer being made. What? I find

that hard to believe-I would think I would have heard about it from

one of you before that. She didn't know what casein was and kept

trying to sell me organic, regular cheese. DUH! She thought I was on

a diet to loose weight. Thanks a lot! So, it made me wonder if she

knew what she was talking about. Have you seen it on the shelves or

heard anything about it?

I bought cheese at my HFS on Fri. Vegan Parmesan, Vegan block

cheddar, and Toffutti American Cheese slices. I ordered all these

from the HFS requesting Vegan and this Toffutti slices were sent I

thought to replace them.

I don't know if this is much help, except to say my son loved the

slices and from my limited knowledge appear to be OK.
