Hi ,

My daughter had brachy. She never had xrays. Xrays can be done to rule out

premature fusing of the skull, but I think that is more of a concern with plagio

than brachy head shape. Also CT scan is better for this than an xray. If the

xray is clear is he going to prescribe a band? I would ask him this. Otherwise

he should refer you to someone who can write the Rx. If you want an opinion if

banding is needed, feel free to post pictures here. Also Cranial Tech

(www.cranialtech.com) will do a free evaluation and give you the data to share

with your ped. You should definitely push to get things moving since now is a

very good time to band.
