Guest guest
We started my younger son, almost 8, on colloidal silver for Clostridia about 5 days ago. It seems to be working really well and is supposed to be good for any kind of gut bugs, yeast or infection. It is mainly an anti-biotic and nystantin is an anti-fungal so I am not sure how well it will work. Just something to consider. I did a search for it and came up with many sites of information, and bought it in the health food store. .
Guest guest
Hi -- I have read postings about colloidal silver before. I have read that it can turn the skin gray--permanently. Guest guest
Loreen, I have my kids on probiotics, plus Nystatin, and I am thinking about that book " feast without yeast " because I have a suspition, that eventhoug they are on nystatin, they are still afected by all other foods, like peanut butter etc. Carmen
Guest guest
My son has been on nystatin for three weeks now for candida. I also have him on acidophollis from kirkmans as friendly flora. I guess we'll retest his stool again to see if the yeast level is down....i don't know how long my nutritionist wants to wait to retest...does anyone know how long on an antifugal b4 a retest? I will say that we've seen language gains and yesterday he actually pointed to a door in a picture and said door...i was sooo excited, pointing is something i've been working on for a long time. but back to the nystatin it's important that the nystatin not be prepared with a sugar base this is what most local pharmacies carry and the sugar feeds yeast so we don't want that i had my nutritionist call Pathway 1- and ask for a prescription of nystatin powder (125,000 units per cc) in a stevia base starting with1cc 4times a day. it has to be kept refrigerated. hope this helps be prepared for die off with us it wasn't too bad but if it is it's suggested to cut down the dosage and the slowly build back up. good luck! Guest guest
In response to the parent wondering about a yeast free Peanut Butter...I have my son off PB because of a phenol issue, PB was his FAVORITE thing, we switched to I M Healthy Soy Nut butter and he eats it no problems. I don't know about the yeast issue though.
