Considering my current job with CobraServe as a Cobra administrator,

and my own personal experience with UHC I can tell you this.. UHC HMO

paid for my surgery(DS) out of state and at 100%. What your friend

needs to do is email me and I will ask her what her policy says...

The POS is generally easier to get approved thru.. the HMO is the

hardest. All POS means is POINT OF SERVICE.. PPO means PREFERRED

PROVIDER ORGANIZATION. PPO is cadillac insurance, next is POS and

then HMO. It all depends on what is in the exclusions portion of the

Certificate of Coverage.. you or she can email me privately for more

specific info and help.. Good luck!

Love,

Sue

Hi Cia

I have United Healthcare PPO that approved my D/S with Dr

Keshishian. And Dr K is listed as a provider with United Healthcare

PPO and POS. I know that Dr K also did a sleeve on my friend :) Tia

because she showed me her scar! and he did it Lap too!

Hope that helps
