Right around the 20th-22nd week untrasound when they try and see the sex of the

baby.

When is clubfeet detected in ultrasound?

Hi everyone... I am pregnant with twins and already have a 2 1/2 year old with

clubfeet. Does anyone remember what week they were able to detect the clubfeet

through the ultrasound? I have one on Monday, but I am only 12 weeks. I think it

is too early. It is so hard now waiting on the answer for 2 of them! I don't

know if I can do this again... TWICE!!!

We found out at our 20 week scan and I think it is between 11 and 14 weeks

that the clubfoot occurs. We had a 12 weeks scan and it wasn't detected then

but it definately was at 21 weeks.

Darby was detected at 18 weeks, i had one at 12 weeks. But at 18 weeks they were

looking for problems sooooo....Maby they might see it. If your baby does have it

you won't be able to change it.

Have them do like a Level 2 scan around the 20 week mark to detect potential cf.

Don't worry, if they have cf at least this time you'll be an old pro at handling

it, right? Goodluck and congratulations!

I think (and I'm working off memory here) the foot can turn inward

anywhere between 16-25 weeks. With our first (who was born with

clubfoot) they detected it at an 18 week u/s. With our second, (who

was NOT born with clubfoot) we had an u/s at 22 weeks (straight feet)

and Dr. Ponseti said it really couldn't be considered diagnostic until

25 weeks (and if you try and get an u/s much after that, things are

too squished and they can't tell an arm from a foot). So, our doc

okay'd another u/s at 25 weeks where we again saw straight feet.

Congrats on your pregnancy!!!!!!!!!
