Guest guest
The best recipe for playdough I have used is in ' book and it's called Play Clay. I don't have the recipe with me here at work, but it has rice flour, salt, cream of tartar, oil and corn starch in it... You cook it on the stove top and it thickens up like magic. I use food coloring that is GFCF and my son loves this stuff. I will try to bring this recipe with me tomorrow and post it. Moira > I just tried making the koolaid playdough recipe which was our > favorite recipe before going GFCF. I substituted the Bette Hagman > mix for the flour and the results are very disappointing. It came > out looking good but when I put it on waxed paper to cool I noticed > it was sticky so I added more flour. It's still very sticky and > elastic very much like playing with a big wad of chewing gum. > Gross! My son is giving it a big thumbs down and I don't blame him. > Should I had tried a different flour? (The rice flour is so grainy. > I don't think my kids would go for that.) Please...any suggestions > appreciated!
