Guest guest
Hi all -- My son's county preschool teacher is going to start a new unit at snacktime so the 3 and 4-year-olds can gain better control of their utensils, specifically forks. She is pro-diet (after witnessing infractions last spring, she's sold on GFCF for !), and has asked me to supply her with a list of GFCF foods that are " forkable. " That way all of the parents, even non-GFCF, can contribute something to snacktime with no worries of infractions or cross-contamination issues. We have ruled out canned fruits, as they are awfully slippery and would be frustrating for the kids. I know there is a GFCF Vienna Sausage out there (anyone recall the brand?). Is there anything else " forkable " that would be available at your regular grocery store? Thanks, BJ
Guest guest
Hi, We used sliced bananas to teach our NT 2 year old. They stick to the fork and are easy to stab. Guest guest
did very well with sliced up Hebrew National hotdogs but that might be difficult at a preschool to prepare.. What about marshmallows (if you aren't worried about corn issues), or fresh peaches, bananas, or other soft fruits? ~ SAHM to: Dana (3.5, NT) and (2.5, autistic, HI) http://www.butcherfamily.freeservers.com " Forkin' Foods " Hi all -- My son's county preschool teacher is going to start a new unit at snacktime so the 3 and 4-year-olds can gain better control of their utensils, specifically forks.
