Guest guest
, I don't really have any advice since we haven't crossed that road yet, but I just wanted to say we'll be thinking of you and tomorrow and wishing her a successful procedure and speedy recovery! Guest guest
Hi , Our daughter Emma had the ATTT done in Iowa (Nov 2003) by Dr. Morcuende when she had just turned 4. Some practical advice I can give: Use a pillow under her 's legs when she's sleeping. Put some sort of support (milk crate, box, foot latter) under her feet when she's in her car seat. It will be more comfortable and prevent " pins & needles " . A wheelchair will be more comfortable than a stroller. Something you may not be told is that some children do experience pain once they start walking again. It's normal and has nothing to do with the joints or surgery itself. If I think of anything else I'll write again. Best of luck, Dan Just a quick update on our ATTT situation... I just found out today that will be having the ATTT on Thursday... yes as in the day after tomorrow THURSDAY! LOL We will be having it done up in Iowa City with Dr.Morcuende. I am so nervous about this. I am just praying that everything will go as planned. Any advice that anyone has to make this a smooth 6 weeks would be greatly appreciated! in Iowa, mom to 4yrs., bilateral clubfoot about to have ATTT
