I think that stress bug is finding its way to you, or at least its brother. He sure has been hanging around here for too long! I hope your dad is stabilized and comfortable. Know that we are all praying for him and for you. Please keep us posted. Jodi Z

Guest guest
Hey Jodie - hey sweetie - how's it going? How's your dad? I know we talked and I've been wanting to call - but, didn't want to take up your time when I know you have PLENTY of things to do right now. What are they saying about the bleeds at this point? Any more seizures? Let us know - okay? Thoughts and prayers with you and your family. - H > > last night my mom had to call the ambulance and have my dad taken to > the hospital. he had a stroke and a seizure at home. they found when > he got to the hospital and did a CAT scan that he has a brain bleed > which caused both. they then transfered him to another hospital in PA > that is able to handle it better (in case they have to do surgery on > the bleed) while waiting to be transfered he had another seizure which > they were able to stop. he had lost feeling and use in his left arm and > leg but was getting it back in his leg last night. he then had a > slight stroke on his right side as well. he is now in St. Lukes > Hospital in ICU. please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!! > > jodie c >
Guest guest
hey h!! my dad isnt any better, actually he is worse today than when he first went into the hospital on tues. night. he now has a cath. (lost all bladder control), has an NG tube, on oxygen. they have him sedated and on pain meds. and ever since the last seizures on thurs. all he does is sleep. if your try to stimulate him or wake him he just moans. he may open his eyes but it is just a blank stare. he still had a very large bleed and fluid on his brain on yesterdays CAT scan. they said they wont know yet what to expect but maybe by tues. he has a bladder infection and a 103 fever today. he looks horrible. his left hand and arm is swolen and they said that is from him not being able to move it and all the fluids they are giving him. they have his right arm in restraints because he was thrashing around yesterday and trying to pull out the NG tube. please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, it doesnt look too good right now. they said this might be his worse and he might come back or he might just to cont. to get worse. jodie c
Guest guest
Jodie, I didn't read this before I posted my last message to you. I am so sorry to hear about this. I really hope your dad turns around for the better. This has to be so hard for you and your family to see this. I could only imagine if my dad where in that position. It would be so hard because to me my dad is like indestructable. It would tear me up to see him like that. I am so sorry. Call or whatever if you need to, okay. We are all here for you. I hope he gets better, Jodi R. > > hey h!! > my dad isnt any better, actually he is worse today than when he first > went into the hospital on tues. night. he now has a cath. Guest guest
Jodie - I'm so sorry. Know that these tears in my eyes are because of the pain you and your family are dealing with right now - and that I care. Wish I could be there for you. You know, I don't know if your dad loves anything in particular, but now would be a good time to share some of those thoughts with him. i.e., if he likes baseball, read him a baseball story, etc. He may seem incoherent, but it's amazing what they hear and understand beneath it all. His situation sounds incredibly difficult for him and for you. Give your mom a hug for us. We will say many prayers for you. Make sure you let me know if you need something. Okay? Thanks for keeping us updated. Hugs - H > > hey h!! > my dad isnt any better, actually he is worse today than when he first > went into the hospital on tues. night. he now has a cath.
