Guest guest
Hello Eveyone. I have been reading the many postings, and thank you for the invaluable information on DS surgery. I now know what to bring to the hospital, to purchase *long* tongs , as well as many other details I would have learned about the hard way! I had my consult with Dr. Quinn, Mt. Sinai, on 11/16/01. Not the warmest lady in the world, but she inspired confidence as a surgeon. Hopefully I can schedule the surgery for late December on my semester break from school. I am completing my postop testing later this week. I am kinda nervous about the surgery since the nutritionist I saw today told me in essesence I am fat because I am lazy, with no will-power, and looking for the easy way out. She told me to purchase a subway sandwich, cut it up, and have nothing else except water. As if that wasn't bad enough, she asked me to return to her office tomorrow to pick up the consult letter. NO THANK YOU. I will see someone else. Because I live alone, I am little nervous about my first 10 days out of the hospital. I may have someone who can drop food off every couple of days, but beyond that, I am on my own. BMI 38.8 256lbs, 5'8 BPD/DS Mt.
