Guest guest
Jodi, The GI doctor did call eventually. In fact, I spoke to him twice yesterday. I should have posted something, but I've just been so overwhelmed. Anyway, he is the specialist in rumination. He said to put Max back on Klonopin, keep using the Zoloft and on Tuesday he wants to start Max on Zelnorm. In my opinion, waiting until Tuesday is torture and unfair, but he's the doctor.... I do trust him. Zelnorm is usually used for people with irritable bowel sydrome, but it has been found to work with those who are hypersensitive in the gut and will help with delayed emptying. I know Dr. H. has discussed this with us before. Meanwhile, Max hiccups like a foghorn. We have found that massage helps a lot. At least while we are massaging him, he gets a 5-10 minute break from the hiccups. That's about all I can offer him for now. Sigh. Guest guest
I am so glad you and that doctor finally had a chance to talk. Too bad he won't start the Zelnorm today. Did he tell you why you needed to wait until tomorrow? Strange. It sounds like the massage is the best thing going for Max right now. Poor thing. I don't know how he is handling this so well. I'd be a big baby about it! ) Keep us updated on him. Jodi R. > Jodi, > > The GI doctor did call eventually. In fact, I spoke to him twice > yesterday.
