Guest guest
Dear friends, Thank you all for all the prayers and kind communications and love that you have poured out to me!!! As I improve I hope to pass this back to you and on to others. I am home and able once again to sit at my computer and focus to read and post a little. Please forgive me for not posting a " Head's Up " sooner, but I have been VERY nauseated, with a really wacked out sense of smell, and that horrible " green at the gills " feeling, and have had inner ear pain and my eyes not focusing too well. I suspect that this is due, in part, to the Vicodan I was taking up through last Friday, only half of one tablet at a time, but I am so very sensitive to narcotics! And they seem to take forever to leave my system. So I haven't been able to handle reading or posting. And dear is completely computer illiterate. An example of the " smell thing " is that a frozen juice bar smelled like soap to me, and made me gag (later, in a couple of hours, I boldly bit into it and it tasted fine!) And my wonderful well water that I could hardly wait to get home to, smelled like strong " iron " , it does have a bit of iron, but I never smelled it like that before. Yesterday I contacted Dr. Welker's office and they called a script in for an anti-nausea med. (which put me to sleep immediately! yet another narcotic I suspect!) And Dr. Welker told me to see my PCP about my inner ears. I am comfy in my little cabin, I have my own built-in hospital bed, with 6 " of the best foam and a 3 " egg crate pad with my german down comforter (from ebay), and a mini trapeze bar, hanging from the ceiling, to adjust my position, my trusty stock tank tub, a freshly graveled driveway and my walker for walking to the gate and back with my cat and two dogs to accompany me on the walks! I also have a wonderful leather lounging chair, covered with a giant sheepskin, and an ottoman, so I have plenty of places to " park " and look out at the melting snow on my berry vines and the fresh snow on the Cascade foothills outside my windows. Now, I promise to add time spent at my computer, visiting with some of the dearest friends I have ever known. Love to all, Kathy sen BMI 58, 352.5 lbs at consult Surgery Nov 19th, 346 lbs Today, 316 lbs Dr. Welker " The only thing different in sinners and saints.... is one is forgiven and the other one ain't!
