Guest guest
I don't know nor do I understand what these attacks are supposed to accomplish. They just cause a lot of pain and misery. I hope and pray that our members and their families and loved ones are safe. This was terrible news to wake up to this morning. It just sickens me. Guest guest
Thank you. We are fine - I usually commute but was off today as Lily had her school play. I'm not sure whether Joanne's husband (Christian's parents) also commutes but if so hope he is ok? Michele Mother of Lily, born June 98 and very absent usually! PS - Does anyone know whether hair on toes is a sign of puberty?
Guest guest
Brigitte We go there too. Our next appointment is in September (I can't remember the date now but will look it up if you have one in September too!). Michele > It is so scarey! Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just wanted to say that thankfully we are OK. I owe my life ... she was taking her time yesterday morning and made us late, which meant that I didn't catch my normal train. My office is at Edgware Rd and I usually arrive at 9.15-9.30 - just when the bomb exploded there - it just doesn't bear thinking about. As it was, I took the train as the tubes were suspended due to the first bomb, then took a bus but we were evacuated after 5 minutes as they said there had been an explosion on a bus too. The mobile networks then went down, so there was no way to find out what was happening, or to contact friends or family. I carried on walking, as i had no idea what else to do, but then the police turned us back, saying that the whole of central London was on red alert, and we should return to the main station. On the whole people were very calm, but there were various people who panicked and that added to our wory as to exactly what was unfolding in London. Thankfulyl I got back to Waterloo and got on a train home before they shut the station. There were just 100's of people milling about there, not knowing what to do, it was scary as you realise then how much carnage would be caused by a bomb. I couldn't believe it when i got home and saw the TV coverage, it is all places that I know so well, and my heart goes out to all those and their fmailies who were injured or worse. My colleauges who were already in the office at Edgware Rd before the blast were barricaded in all day, but thankfully they all got home safely last night. I don't work Fridays, so I am glad not to be facing the commute this morning. It is such an uneasy feeling, depiste the inevitability that this would happen one day, it is still a shock that it has taken place. I sincerely hope no-one else from this listserve is affected. Guest guest
I am Lily's Mum. I don't post very often (Lily was 7 in June). I live in Colchester and commute to London Weds-Fri. I work between Holborn and GOSH (in Red Lion Sq). I think my appointment was moved from August to 20 September - how odd! There must have been a great number of GOSH outpatients in the vicinity at the time the bomb went off. I'm wondering how high the total is going to rise once they reach the front carriage.
