Guest guest
's toes are curved under and her big toes are curved in toward her feet. She has been in the s for about five months and has had no issues with blisters, etc. She had some very minor red spots on her big toes at the beginning which I padded with gauze and they went away. I believe that is instructing parents to make sure that the baby's toes are not bent under in the shoes accidentally. I have never straightened 's toes in the shoes and they have done just fine so I believe that Ava will be fine, as well. Carol Turning toes under Hi, Ava went into the s today after getting a big toe blister from the Markells. My concern is that she turns her toes under constantly when she's in them. I'm terrified that her toe will blister again, and in the instructions that came with the s it says to make sure her toes are straight, but I just can't straighten them! Any ideas? Guest guest
Oh, forgot to say that got a terrible pressure sore on her big toe after less than 24 hours in the Markell shoes so I was paranoid about the s but no problems at all! Guest guest
> > Just had a look at Ava's toes in the boots and they're not turned under as such - her big toe is straight, but she kind of pushes the other toes down, as if she's gripping onto the sole if that makes sense. I've wrapped some gauze around her big toe that had the blister on it as her second toe kind of ends up sitting half under that toe so the gauze stops that. Does that sound ok? Thank you all so much for your help and advice - don't know what I'd do without you...I'm from Australia by the way... 's toes are curved under and her big toes are curved in toward her feet. Guest guest
That sounds totally normal, in my experience. I think it is good to wrap the toe with gauze for a bit at the beginning so you can see how things go in the s. I think you will be very pleased with them! It is very common for babies, clubfoot or not, to use their toes to grip the floor, sandals, whatever, which turns the toes slightly under. It should cause no problems in the s.
