8mm deviation helmet or not?

I need advice. Today we went and saw an ortho. who supplies STARbands. My son

measured with a 8mm deviation on the diagonal which is mild to moderate plagio.

My son has a symmetrical face but the left ear is pushed slightly forward (the

side where the flat spot). My husband I were thinking that if it's moderate we

are going to band, but now I am on the fence. I want his head corrected but I

just don't know if we will get much results due he being 9 mo. We still don't

know if our insurance will cover the band.

if we do band which probably won't be a month or two depending on a script.

will we see a difference in his shape?

If we don't helmet, would we still see correction with the flat side?
