Guest guest
Hi , I can relate to how scary this must be for a singer but hopefully I can ease your mind a little. My daughter was also intubated once (asthma) for 10 days and when she was finally extubated, she was extremely hoarse and had absolutely no singing range whatsoever and was quite worried about it. As I recall, she had a sultry husky voice for a few weeks, but within about a month, she was back on stage with her band. I would guess that she was exercising her voice a little every day which might have helped. I think it's safe to say that you'll get your range and volume back. Keep chirping.
