TRI-STATE GATHERING/MAGIC WALK

hey everyone!!

i know it seams like it is very far away, but we (jen b., jodi z.

and i) are going to start the planning of our oct. rss/sga family

gathering!!! we have a question for everyone who would possibly

attend, we would like to have our gathering and walk for magic on

the same day, together!! there is a beautiful park with walking

trails, a paviolon, and a playground by my house (we had our walk

there last year). we were thinking of having the walk (you would

get your kits from magic and collect your pledges) and then a BBQ at

the park!! we thought it would be a nice way to spend the day

together and raise funds for magic!!

the walk would also be advertised for the public to attend as well.

i am going to see about getting co. sponsors and donations for the

BBQ. i am going to put my pic/bio display up (would love to add

more pics) and have info on magic available as well. i figured this

way we can educate people on rss/sga and let people know about the

magic foundation since alot of people dont even know anything about

it!!

the public could either obtain a pledge sheet before hand or pay a

certain amount for a reg. fee to walk. we would also charge for the

ffod, i figured we could do a bracelet for food say $6 for adults

and $3 for kids 8-under, 3-under free. our rss families would pay a

flat family rate ahead of time for their food bracelet $15. the

money for the food we will donate to our rss convention scholarship

fund.

i would once again do t-shirts (you can email me a pic of your child

if you would like and have it put on the shirt for your walk) and i

was thinking of getting the new magic bracelets as well to sell or

give to people that obtain say $25 in donations. and we could have

extras to sell for magic as well!!

what do you think? please let me know!! i really would like to

make this work!! and maybe KATY F. could come with her family and

even say a few words on behalf of magic?!?!?!
