If they are medically indicated by rx, then you can deduct the cost

[or cost difference] as a medical expense on your 1040 schedule A.

Here is more information on that from a celiac perspective, but it

would qualify for non-celiac also, so long as you have an rx that

indicates these foods/tests are required.
