Guest guest
I don't have an answer to the chewing, but a solution that worked at our house since both my kids have the same problem. I ended up tying some plastic lace (you can find it in just about any craft store or Walmart) into long " chew sticks " . You may know them as boon doggle or lanyards. It is similar to doing macrame' if anyone knows how to do that! haha (my mom used to when I was a kid so I learned too!) My kids love them and it has seemed to get the oral stimulation they need. My son still sucks on his " lambie " (a lambie beanie baby), but at least he isn't chewing it. I have used the fat string and the skinny string. The fat ones don't take as long to tie, but my kids don't seem to like them as well. There is a website that offers all different ways to tie them. I can look it up if anyone would like it.
