i would have to say that connor is a sweet aholic!

I am trying to break that habit, since he used it to manipulate eating!

I find it interesting that most of you that responded about foods

pretty much the same way. (Although with his sister's help he has been

taught to like candy!) His favorite candy is Tootsie Roll. (Not too

sweet! He prefers dark chocolate to milk (Not as sweet). Very

interesting!

hi

is sick so often that it is hard to entice him with foods. He has just

started eating a tiny bit by mouth these past few months (now 3.6 years) and he

is fascinated by curry! The Japanese form of curry is slightly sweeter and

smoother in texture (as opposed to dry and powdery!). He wants " Kare " everytime

I ask him. But he also thinks that complicated savory tastes (blended stews,

casseroles) are also " kare " and is happy to try those too. - Savory definitely,

but that could have something to do with the fact that savory tastes spread

through the mouth much quicker than candy where you have to get the thing wet

with saliva first before the taste emanates around the mouth (according to our

new feeding specialist who dips lollipops and candies in water first before

giving it to to try!).

I seem to remember that the initial documentation provided by the UK support

group, The Child Growth Foundation, to families discovering RSS also describes

RSS children as tending to prefer savory to sweet foods. This they said was a

statement based on parental impressions gathered over time.

For I would have to say her Rings and Stars

soup which is the Lipton Ring O Noodle soup and

Pastina. Although it is a 3-way tie with that and

s Double Noodle Soup and instant mashed

potatoes.

Ethan's favorites are pizza, hot dogs, bologna, muffins (particularly blueberry

or corn), grapes, berries (esp. strawberries and blueberries), and chocolate

(esp. M & Ms, or " M's " as he calls them). He also seems to like pasta (which

seems to be holding one of the top slots, so far!).

I must have missed this but.......Ian loves chocolate! If he could

eat M & Ms all day long - he would be a happy camper.
