Look forward to drastic improvement in your (adult onset) diabetic

condition as you recover from the surgery (probably not if it is

juvenile diabetes).

Sounds as if Dr. Macura and his surgical staff have their heads

screwed on correctly. He must be a great doc.

Belching is good. So is farting. Relax, enjoy!! Drink, drink,

drink; walk, walk, walk.

Welcome to the other side !! Each day gets better. So just work

on getting in your water, and walking. You rest inbetween!!

If water is hard on the tummy make hot tea--I don't understand it but

it goes down like a dream.

Will be watching your progress!!

I did spend an extra 24 hours in recovery. Since being a diabetic and

taken pressure medication, the surgery put my system into shock. I

was having very very high pressure readings and blood sugars.

It was monitored and treated with insulin and pressure medications in

my IV.

I'm tired, will talk soon. Lots of belching.

Hi ,

Warm tea was about the only liquid I could get in me the first week or so

after surgery. I used herbal...most the mint medley and tasted good and felt

good.

Best of luck..

Hey switch brother!

Hugs and welcome home! I was in the hospital up until Saturday...a

few interesting complications. Have felt great for days and today is

the first day I am feeling a bit punk.

Glad to hear you are home and recovering. Odd thing is, talking for

me is kinda difficult as I feel like I swallow air and also run out

of breath. Good incentive for me to shut up for a change! Laughing.

Best to you,

Theresa
