Need advise from some parents in the UK

Hello UK moms/parents, this is a post from the clubfoot board, was

wondering if some of you in the UK who are seeing Dr. Naiomi

could reply to this mom....sounds like she really needs to get her

daughter in to see her!

Hi,

My daughter Ashleigh is five months old and has just been diagnosed

with mild congenital club foot. I was told at birth that she had

positional club foot, so she had a number of plasters over the first

8 weeks and the physio thought that the foot looked fine and we did

nothing over the Christmas, New year period but the foot starting

turning back inwards again, so they decided to put more plaster on

and miss houdini keeping getting out of it, thats when her

paedaetrician decided that Ashleigh needed to see a orthopaedic

specialist about her condition. She didn't need surgery but is in

the boots and bar for the next three months and after that at night

time until she is four. I am wondering if any one out there whose

baby has developed blisters on their foot/feet. Ashleigh has one on

her bad foot and she had to stop wearing them and she had to go back

into plaster. The only problem is that she can get the plaster off

and so we had to put the shoes back on her. I can not ring her

physio as it is the weekend and I am concerned that the blister will

get worse again.
