Guest guest
With Lilee being out of the P/M brace now for 5 days, I am starting to get REAL paranoid! She is supposed to get her newly designed P/M tomorrow afternoon. Her sore/blister is not fully healed, but is looking much better. I will still continue to pad it while trying out these new P/M's. With me being paranoid, I was wondering if someone could tell me the signs of relapse, and/or their own expierence with what they saw in their child. I think she is Ok, but sometimes her foot seems a little stiff when I am doing the Dobbs stretches with the dorsoflexion. After doing it a few times, you can feel the tendon give in and stretch, then she is nice and flexible for a bit. I do them mostly when she is asleep so she wont fight me. Or atleast not much...lol...Thanks all Christee Mother of... *Josh~Learning/Speech Delays (9) **Aspen~ Bilateral Metatarsus Adductus (6) ***Dylan~PTSD/Anxiety (4) ****Lilee~A-Typical UCF w/Plantaris ® & Metatarsus Adductus (L) *P/M Brace 16-18/24.Struggling w/pressure sores (8 months) Concidering Dobbs bar & braces --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
Christee, With Karter we always notice the tighting of the dorsoflexion first, but you have to make sure that she isn't fighting you. Karter will purposly flex so we can not stretch it. Then with the other Dr. We also had turning in of the foot. Karter was out of shoes for over a week when we went to the P/M's. (thinking this might be why one of his feet feel tight) You will be able to tell if you can not stretch it when you get the new shoes. I would assume that the foot would not go into the shoes properly if you have a relapse. Hope some of this helps. Sorry you are still having problems. I have been thinking and I just can not come up with anything. Tabitha Christee wrote: With Lilee being out of the P/M brace now for 5 days, I am starting to get REAL paranoid!
