Jodi - Ugh - I totally need to laugh. Ian's not eating or drinking

well today - and I keep threatening him that I'm going to take him

back to the Hospital and put more " juice " in his arm if he doesn't

start taking in more fluids! I plan on waking him up tonight and

feed him through the night - even if it's only Gatorade. Anything

to keep him stabilized.

Thanks for thinking of us. I'm sorry you had to go through this as

well. I didn't like it at all! Less than 20?? I found out that

falling asleep and unresponsiveness is their body shutting down to

go into a coma!! I about passed out when I heard that! (not really

but - that sure is an eye opener that's for sure!)

Thanks for the kind words and thoughtfulness.

Chrissy - thank you. Well, I appreciate everyone's support too. It's

very comforting. Thanks for the hugs and kisses too.

Deb - thanks. I'm glad we are home now too. We are going to ask

Dr. H to give us a prescription for an AccuCheck and if she doesn't

give me one - I know the pediatrician will give me one because we

discussed it. Ian's not eating or drinking well today - I keep

threatening him! LOL - But, I plan on waking his bottom up during

the night a couple of times to keep him stablized. He's had a

little diareah again and I've been trying to get him to eat too -

but, he's disinterested. He's acting totally normal though. A

little tired - but, he's had a big couple of days.

You did not tell me any of this in your email to me! You bad girl!

I'm glad that Ian is home now, but you better keep an eye on him each

time he gets sick now or just does not look right. Do you have a

glucose monitor at home? If not, get one.

I'm glad that your hospital stay was a short one. I don't know what

those are like. I do know how tiring it is, though. I'm glad you are

home and Ian is better. Now you get some rest, too.

Jodi - you are absolutely correct! I actually thought of that this

morning - believe it or not. After taking to preschool,

Ian and I went to the doc to get weighed and he just wasn't acting

right all morning and I thought - you know, I should have probably

stayed another day with him. Live and Learn. Thank you.

I was just talking to " " (Jodi) on the phone and told her

that I'm now feeling a little dizzy and sick to my stomach. If I

get this - I'm not going to be happy. I was planning on chicken -

changed my mind - then on hamburgers - changed my mind......the kids

got pasta. Better for Ian anyway - stick to his bones. He's

actually eating it! is SHOVELING it in. Well, Ian was

eating it - now he's decided he wants yogurt. eats so

FAST and Ian wants to eat what he's eating that by the time

wants something else - Ian hasn't had very much! LOL Oh

brother.

Talk to you soon. Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip! I usually just use vaseline to grease up the thermometer!

I'm glad it serves other purposes as well! LOL

advocate22003 wrote: Jeanie - I'm glad Brockton is

fairing better after his shots. Hey,

you know what we used to do living in the " windy city " of Chicago?

We used to put vaseline on 's cheeks and nose. He actually

got a touch of frost bite when he was younger - and we still have to

do that - but, the vaseline works great for cold and windy days!

Just a thought!
