Guest guest
Amen We are not failures! Lisbeth I *HAVE* suffered more than enough and lived a lonely life filled with lots of failure already. I do *NOT* need some surgeon telling me I am non-compliant and it is *AGAIN MY FAULT* that I gained weight, even after he butchered my stomach! It is really hard for me to grasp the mentality of a person who needs WLS surgery opting for a procedure that leaves them needing to to what they would have had to do without the surgery. If all of these tactics are required for successful weight loss after surgery, why have the surgery? If I have to still diet post op, why would I expect to be more successful long-term than I would have been doing the same thing pre-op? This just plain doesn't make sense to me. Guest guest
I agree, Carole! I ran across this *enlightening* Q & A on the AMOS board a few weeks ago. It was so eye-opening to me, I bookmarked it. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/question.phtml?N=n1003789012 The most shocking response was: " That small amount only lasted about 4 weeks or so for me. I eat pretty much 1/2 to 2/3 cup for almost everything i eat now. Im 2 3/4 years post op too. " I just know I couldn't live like that. - At 3:54 AM -0800 11/27/01, MsMystic1@... wrote: > >I *HAVE* suffered more than enough and lived a lonely life filled with lots >of failure already.
