Warning, more post op poop talk........

I am helping Marcia (lurker only) who had a DS lap last Monday Dec 3rd with

Dr Welker. She is recovering nicely but has very sudden pudding like BMs

over which she has no control. Dr Welker okayed both Imodium and both

insoluble and soluble fiber to help bulk these up so that she can be more

independent.

I got the Citrucel gel caps.. Marcia hates the grainy stuff.. anyone use

this and know how much and how rapidly it might work? I know how to use the

Imodium.

Interesting that I didn't have this problem post op. I think I was

incontinent of bowel only once. Seems to impact people differently.

She might also try " Fiber Choice, " a chewable version of

Citrucel-like substance.

During the first several weeks, " puddin' " isn't all that much to worry about.
