maddy appt with surgery

Today maddy met with Dr. Vanoker here in philly. I took our emails with me

this way he would know exactlly what you wantde done. He agrees that her j tube

placement g tube moved and nissan all need to be done and feels it can be

done in one procedure. However the only way he will agree to do it is if you

allow Dr. Chen to call all the shots. You may talk with Dr.Chen and let her

know how things should be done but he wants to take orders from Dr. Chen only.

He does not think it's a smart move to have it done at cornell. He believes

that Dr. Spigland may be a great surgeon but without you or Dr.Chen or Dr.

Suarez there it would be risky for Madison to undergo that type of procedure.

He has spoken to a Dr. Shlasko at Mt. Siani he is a pediatric surgeon. He is

willing to work with you if you choose to have the procedure done there. I'm

not sure if you know or are comfortable with this doctor. He feels it is

important to Madison's health that this get taken care of ASAP but feels we all

need to be on the same page.

He explained to me that it may be better for Madison and our family if she

was in her home town during all this since it will be a long hospital stay,

However I expressed to him my concern about you not having input since my hu

sband and I both feel you are the most important part of Madison's life at this

time. So he again assured me if you were willing to allow him to perform the

proceder here then you may let Dr. Chen know what your thoughts are on the

situation and she can see that they get taken care of.

Let me know how you feel on the situation and if you are uncomfortable with

Dr. Chen being the doctor who makes the decisons then Lou and I will need to

make an appointment to meet this Dr. Shlasko at mt. Siani. If thats the case

we would want you there since neither you or I know anything about this

doctor.
