Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just want to know something. From when I was five years old, I've had so much trouble with writing. My handwriting is way too small and I can't write for too long beceause that hurts. I hold the pen way too tight beceause if I loosen up I can't write anymore. When I look at my hands all my fingers are curling to the inside. I can stretch my fingers, except for both of my pinks, they automaticly curl back in. I've had a lot of questions about it at my school, and began to wonder if all of this has to do with RSS. So my question to you is if you recognize this. With yourself our kids who have RSS. Guest guest
Amy, You need to see an orthopedist who specializes in hands. The fact that your fingers curl in means that the muscles and tendons are contracting and forcing that action. You probably need some physical therapy to stretch and strengthen. Can you get pencil grips? They are foam or rubber " tubes " that fit over a pencil or pen. Not only are they softer than the hardness of the pen and pencil, they make it wider and more comfortable for the hand. I know you hate doctors, but your complaint is real and should be examined.
