Guest guest
Hi everyone! I know i havent posted for awhile, but ive just been reading about everything thats been posted on here, taking in all information. Kaden is doing really well in his Ponceti braces. He is getting more and more used to getting them put back on after the hour out of them....this will last probly another 2 months, give or take depending on his progress. Right now he is in them 23 hours per day, 1 hour out. He has begun rolling over from his back to his stomach, which i hear is a pretty hard thing to do, especailly with the braces on...but he has learned to do it!!! His braces are adjusted to 60 degrees on the left foot, as this foot is a typical clubfoot, and the right foot, which is an atypical clubfoot is at 30 degrees. I asked my doctor why such the difference, and he explained that if the atypical foot were adjusted to 60 degrees, it can lead to whats called a banana foot, and we dont want that. So this is why the angles are different on each foot. I've learned alot from this group and want to thank you for starting it. We've been told that our next child, when we have one, would most likely have clubfoot too, and now i wont be so overloaded with confusing information. Thanx!
