hi katherine,

we found out about christopher's when he was 2 months old. we had been

at the dr.'s for a nurse visit weigh in on a monday and then had his 2

month check up on that wed. when the dr. looked at his length

measurements she was puzzled (she was so conserned about his weight

that she didnt really pay attention to his length until then) if you

looked at his chart he had " shrunk " by 1/2 " since mon. she then looked

back and every time he was measured there was a different measurement

(we were going 2x a week for weight checks, so depending on what leg

they would grab for the measurement it was always different) she then

decided to check heself to make sure and there was a 1/2 " difference in

length. she then looked closer and measured the thickness of his arms

and legs, the left side was smaller than the right side in thickness

too. his left hand and foot are smaller as well (foot is a 1/2 size

smaller in shoes) we were then sent to an ortho dr. he did x-rays and

took measurements and confirmed that yes he had assmentry and that his

hips werent off causing the difference. it is very slight though, you

cant notice unless i actually show you.

i hope this helps you!! good luck!!

,

I found out about s asymentry before the docs

noticed it. It was a few days after her birth and I

noticed her entire right side was smaller than her

left. Everydoc I've tlaked to about it says the length

is the same.. just the meat on the right side a less

than the left. Understand? I found out just by looking

at her.

Hi,

Dr. H said Emerence's left side was slightly shorter than her right -

her left foot is also smaller and shoulders/hips positioned a bit

off. However, the ortho here looked at xrays and said she was not

asymmetric....
