OK, as least now I know I am not a crazy indulgent mother.

HATES the solutabs. She said that they tasted bad, so Dr. H tried

one at her appt - and Dr. H agreed with that at the end,

there is a very bitter taste! I was so proud of Dr. H for trying

the med!!!

Here is what we do for the Prevacid. It comes in the gelcaps with

the little sprinkles inside. Each morning and afternoon, I take a

small spoonful of ice cream. Inside the icecream I stick her tiny

tiny Arimidex pill. Then I open the gel cap and sprinkle the

Prevacid tiny dots all over the top of the ice cream. I used to

then " fold " over the ice cream but she doesn't need it any more.

She swallows the ice cream and down goes the medicine.

Twice a day.....

The tiny dots from the Prevacid are tasteless, and the tiny tiny

pill must just get swallowed. Salem

Thanks for all the ideas. I'm trying the benecalorie again and have

increased his periactin. I'll call the GI to get another sample of solutabs and

try

the kool aid and ice cream tricks. You are a creative group of mothers and

grandmothers! I'm grinding the resource drinks into snow cones then covering the

flavor w/snow cone syrup. Maybe some of this will work! And we are on our

way to stay w/ my Mom near the beach. The combo of ocean and Grandmother is

usually good for a few ounces of gain! Thanks for all the advice and at least

as much for being there for us. You all make the biggest difference. Thanks

you so much.

I'll let you know what DR H says.

Oh, Pat, sorry I didn't answer sooner. I calculate Willie's BMI on the CDC

website. I actually didn't realize it was different form weight-for-height! How

do you all calculate that?
