Guest guest
Sure, you are different than pre-op, but you will no longer be as obese, either. It's a tradeoff. But, you get used to it. I am just " different, " not only in my bowel habits, but I can get around, walk upstairs, bend over to tie my shoes without coming close to blacking out; my total cholesterol is 133 without any meds, where it had shot up to 288 before I went on meds pre-op, etc, etc. ... Do, indeed, think about it. But, also remember that the longer you wait, the more weight you are likely to accumulate, and sooner or later it catches up with your health and sense of well being. Well said Steve. I have gained 25 lbs. since August 4th, when I first saw a WLS website. Now that is certainly not the first time I have gained 25 lb. in 3+ months. I can't do any of those things that you mention above either and I live on percocet. For me it is helpful when I begin thinking scary thoughts about 'what in the heck am I going to do to myself'...to focus on 'what in the heck have I done to myself, AND WILL MOST CERTAINLY KEEP ON DOING if I don't have this surgery. A tradeoff it is, and from what I have read on this list, taking the risk brings returns 100-fold. Blessings, Fran
