Lyndsey,

I'm glad you found your way over here and de-lurked! I can't

remember, are you in Arizona or New Mexico?

I'm glad Aidan is doing well! My Aidan's birthday is January 11th

(2003)! :)

Welcome to the board!

Hi, Lyndsey,

Glad to see someone else from NM on the board!

Our daughter Lily was born with lcf on 3/28/05.

She was treated at Tingely in ABQ by

Dr. Schwend. Great doc (a little lenient on the

bracing hours protocol - but he's willing to put up

with my stricter approach to that & my badgering him

to be stricter with his recommendations). We're

just so pleased with Lily's perfect little foot &

the care she's received from Schwend.

Anyway, you must be thrilled things are going so well for Aidan.

Those reduced hours will be here before you know it!!

Happy to have you with us!

Kim

Hi Lyndsey and Adian! Welcome to the club! I'm so happy to hear your treatment

is going so well thus far :)

s.

Just introducing my son and me!

Hi everyone,

My son, Aidan, was born Jan 10 with a LCF. We went through 4 weeks of

casting, the tenotomy (sp?), and now he has been in his DBB for 2 months. His

foot looks wonderful and we are extremely excited about the progress he has

made! He goes to part time use in June, and we can't wait.

We are also part of the group clubfoot, but have heard wonderful things

about this group, and the more support the better! I can't wait to get to know

all of you, and use your clubfoot knowledge!

Kim--

We are at Tingley too! WE were with Dr. Sherman, but he was pushing us

for surgery, and we were definately not comfortable with that! We got a second

opinion with Dr. Bosch, and we are extremely glad that we did!!

Glad someone else is from NM too!

Welcome Lyndsey and Aiden! I'm so glad you're part of the group.

This group has been soooo wonderful to us and I only wish I had been

more active in the beginning. We found this group from Dr. Ponseti

and four days later after we had talked to him, we flew out to have

our 3.5 year old daughter treated by him. Everything went so great,

however, my daughter was not very happy when I would get on the

computer at the Mc House in Iowa (we were out there from

the middle of August through two days before Thanksgiving) so it was

really hard to have the time to check the board and write my

messages, let alone respond. I tried everything to distract her so I

had more computer time, but all she wanted was to be on my lap and

for me to get off the computer. Usually when I could get a little

time on the computer I was checking e-mails and sending home

updates. It sounds like your son is doing so well. Good luck to you

and your little boy!

Hey, Lyndsey,

Isn't Dr. Bosch great? We've seen him a couple of times when Schwend has

been unavailable. Good for you, following your instincts, & avoiding surgery.

Actually, I think one of the best things about the Ponseti treatment at

Tingley is in the cast room. She has been unbelievably helpful to

Lily.

Just love her.

Looking forward to getting to know you a bit through this board!

Welcome - it is great to hear things are going well for you and your

son. This is a great board - there have been times I think I would

have pulled my hair out if not for the support here.
