Guest guest
Christee, Sorry I don't know anything about the marks the holes leave. I did notice this on Karter when we first got the shoes. As far as the gel pads go, I was going to call 's office today. We got the sores healed.(took him out of shoes for 4 days). It has been over two weeks almost three and the spot is dark red again. We are watching it very closely. Does Lilee seem to be bothered when in the shoes? We are having a hard time with Karter. He always pulls on that middle strap and cries. I had to take the shoes off at 4am today, but he had them on at 5pm lastnight, so he will have to go back in today to get our 16 hours in. I often wonder if i put the shoes on to tight. If I go a hole looser his heel slides up in the shoe and I think we have to have that heel down? Good Luck, If I find out anything that will work I will surely let you know. When I put them on her feet without socks to measure and see the wicth compared to her foot it looks like they are right up next to the sides. For those trying those gel pads, how are they working for you? I am not having the best of luck. She is still getting the red marks, but no sores luckily (yet). Guest guest
Christee, is getting ready for a new pair of PM's, too. The end of her big toe is reaching the end of the shoe and it is snug on the sides. No hole marks on her, though. She does have red marks from the straps at times, though, across the tops of her feet, but these fade during her break time. I have in the Old Navy socks, which are a medium thickness sock. They seem to work well. Wish I could be of more help. Sorry you are still have so many problems. Carol and , 10-27-05, bcf, s 18/7 P/M Question.... Guest guest
Christee, Marcus has the hole marks on his socks lately, but not on his feet. I never noticed the marks before until a couple of weeks ago. He is getting ready for a new pair. His right foot toes (he has LCF) are already over the edge. By the way, how does it work with the ordering of the new shoes as far as sizing goes? I never saw anything about a size on Marcus' shoes so I'm not sure what size to order next. Guest guest
You call (MD Orthopedics) and tell him you need a new pair of shoes. He will send you another impression kit (like you did with the 1st pair). You send the impression kit back, and he will send you another pair of shoes. He always makes sure that there's plenty room to grow in. I have noticed with Lilee that it usually goes up 2 shoe sizes. Guest guest
I have tried also to loosen the strap by 1. Her heel also pulls up, then she ends up with red marks on the back of the heel. That's not good either. Let me know what says. Call me if you'd like. Maybe we can brainstorm together. Guest guest
Christee, Will try to call on Tuesday. I didn't get a hold of today because the hubby had the flu, so am going to call in am. Will try to call you after that, if nobody else is sick. We do currently have a red mark on the heel. I will try to get some pics tonight. Guest guest
The P/M shoes had a size on the bottom of the shoe next to the " MDOrthoepaedic " brand. I know that Dr. Ponseti sent me two pair of shoes in case Sydney's feet outgrew the shoes before our next visit. She is still wearing " 00 " , but she has the " 0 " size also. I know that " 000 " is the smallest that he makes. The " 00 " is larger, then the " 0 " , then the " 1 " , etc. I do know that has made special shoes that are extra wide for those children whose feet are short but are out growing the widths. The rubber sides should hug the foot, not stop half way up the sides of the foot. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. I hope this helps some. Guest guest
Ok. I found the size on the bottom of the shoes like you said. I should have paid closer attention, but the " 0 " almost blended in with the pattern and didn't catch my eye. Thank you! sydtyblanton wrote: The P/M shoes had a size on the bottom of the shoe next to the " MDOrthoepaedic " brand.
