Guest guest
, Hi! Congratulations to you and Mallory on this next step! I have just used a nail and hammer to punch a hole in the shoes...Some people have gone out and purchased a leather punch...The nail works well, though! Dr. Ponseti wrote me last week and said that with bcf, the s are supposed to be at 60 degrees...So, obviously, her right should be at 60, but hmmm...Not sure about the left foot. I'd bet that you will hear from Kori about this soon.... Again, congratulations, that is so exciting! Guest guest
Hi , We had to poke two new holes to make the toe strap in our s smaller, too. I bought a leather punch for 5 bucks at Hobby Lobby (at the suggestion of someone on this board) and did it myself. It worked pretty well and now I have it for the future, if needed. It didn't mess up the shoes at all. Maybe we should let know that he needs more holes in his shoes for these little babies by the toes. 's s are set at 60 degrees (she is bilateral). This is the normal setting for the s. Someone else can answer about the non club foot shoe setting. Carol and , bcf, 10-27-05, s 23/7 Questions about the 's Okay...it's me with another newbie question Mallory gets her cast off tomorrow and we tried her shoes on her non-club foot and the strap by her toes needs a new hole poked in the suede to be tight enough for her foot. Any suggestions on the easiest way to poke the hole....we don't want to mess up the shoes! Guest guest
Thanks Kim and Carol for your help and suggestions! Both are very appreciated! We did set her shoes at 60 and 40 and we did buy the leather puncher....worked like a charm! Mallory has had her first day in the 's and so far so good! She didn't sleep very well last night....which means none of us slept very well last night! (Actually...to top it all off my 7 year old fell out of bed....for the first time ever!!! It just figures...I think they were tag teaming me!) She has actually been a fairly content baby today (until she tries to move her legs and then she gets frustrated...but we keep showing her how she can move them togehter and I'm sure she'll get the hang of it!). Just thought I'd share our progress. Seems like a long time coming but we're moving in the right direction! and Mallory ('s 23/7!!!!!!)
