Guest guest
Hi, I am curious if anyone has a child that learned to sit, roll, crawl, or walk with the band. I'm curious to know if the band contributes to developmental delays. Thanks! Ramona
Guest guest
My son had the band from 9-12 months so learned to walk in it. He walked at 10 months so no delay On 6/27/10, ramonafe <ramonafe@...> wrote: > Hi, > > I am curious if anyone has a child that learned to sit, roll, crawl, or walk > with the band. Guest guest
My son learned to crawl and started walking shortly after getting his band, so it certainly didn't affect him negatively. I haven't really seen posts myself from anyone thinking the band caused delays. I did see a post from someone who felt the band helped their baby roll over because he wasn't getting stuck on his " flat spot " anymore. Guest guest
My daughter learned to roll over, sleep on her tummy, sit, and crawl in band. No delays- between ages of 5-7/8 months. > > Hi, > > I am curious if anyone has a child that learned to sit, roll, crawl, or walk with the band. Guest guest
Ramona,My daughter learned to sit, roll over, crawl and cruise in her band. She did need PT to help her roll, but that was due to torticollis. Although, she didn't crawl until around 11 months, she caught up quick. She will be one tomorrow and is cruising everywhere. I expect her to walk any day. The nurse practioner in my daughter's neurosurgeon's office said bands can cause some delays. There is definitely some debate about this. Personally, I would not worry. Fixing my daughter's head was well worth it.Good luck!-AmyFrom: natalie <nat.jo.c@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Mon, June 28, 2010 6:12:21 PMSubject: Re: Did your child learn to sit, roll, etc with the band? Guest guest
Ramona,My daughter started her band when she was 3 months old on the day. She graduated 2 months and a week later. She started rolling over two weeks later. She unlike my son enjoys only rolling over and staying on her belly, she can roll back, but usually just stays on her belly. My son (who is now 2 1/2 and didn't have a band) rolled and rolled and rolled. I want to ask the pediatrician if this is normal for some kids to not want to do at her six month check. She is however sitting up on her own for a few minutes at a time and trying to figure out crawling, she gets up on all fours and rocks back and fourth. She hasn't quite figured out she needs to lift her hands. Well before my son could do it. So I would say we have had no problems as a result of the band. She does go to physical therapy every few months, we do exercises at home for her toricolis. Guest guest
started his band at 8 months. He learned to army crawl, sit, crawl, pull to standing, and now cruise while in the band. He'll probably start walking while in it, too. He is actually developmentally on the same schedule as his older brother, so I don't think the band made a difference at all in his development. -Angie- > > Hi, > > I am curious if anyone has a child that learned to sit, roll, crawl, or walk with the band.
