I'm just curious - to what degree does one have to be disabled by morbid

obesity to qualify. I realize that it's the co-morbidities that really do

it, but to what degree?

I'll have Medicare at some point.

I think someone on one of these Lists who had Medicare

was able to get the DS from her insurance company

because there's some law about if Medicare will pay

for a procedure then insurance companies have to also.

Or something like that! >>>>>

yep, yep dee!!! That was me and congrats lady! You will be on your way

shortly!!!

Kathie, I wasn't approved due to MO. But I do know

from what I've been through that just having a

condition or disease isn't enough to get SSDI. You

must show that you cannot work at any job because of

what you have.

I heard that MO was taken off the list of " approved "

diagnosises (is that a word?) but I'm not sure. If

you go to www.severe.net there are some good links.

I'd check it but I'm really having alot of hand pain

and really can't use my mouse very much.

Take care,

dee

OMG, thanks for replying, Judie (my new best friend)!!

I hope you don't mind but I'd love to know how you

went about getting the insurance company to ok the DS.

Did the insurance company actually pay or did

Medicare? What about the surgeon fees?

If you want to reply privately, that's ok!

Thanks,

dee
