Guest guest
Hi I think you would appreciate the help more at home than in the hospital unless you are having surgery at Mt Sinai......if your daughter can be with you 10-14 days I think thats plenty of time depending on what your needs are. It sounds like your living conditions etc are ideal so there might not be very many needs there. She might help with your laundry and things like that as you wont be able to do alot of lifting for 6 weeks. Best thing is to see how you feel and function after surgery to determine just what kind of help might be needed. Judie =)
Guest guest
If she is there for the surgery and 10 days post op, I think you will be ok after that. I was able to do everything I needed by that time. The only thing I really needed help with was laundry and housework. If there wasn't anyone--it just gets left. If you are able to walk, wipe your tush now you will after surgery. Personally, I appreciated having my sister at my side immediately postop and those days in the hospital--even though there were nurses around to help. She knew me, understood me and was good company. When I would take a nap, she would head out to shop. Then once you get home--your daughter can stock and prep the house for when she leaves. So you will be set for a couple weeks, then--you will be feeling pretty good. Pammi
