Guest guest
Hi,Our son has been in a helmet (STAR band) about 4 months so far. We've noticed that his ears stick out a bit, and his right ear is a bit bent at the top and is sticking out more than the left. We want to make sure that the helmet isn't making the ears worse, as sometimes the helmet touches the ears. CT said his right ear was displaced anteriorly due to the plagio. We do see the right ear being bent in photos well before he got the helmet. Is it possible for helmets to make ears stick out more than they otherwise would? I saw a product called Ear Buddies, from England, which " splints " ears but usually is used on young babies. Has anyone used these? Does anybody have other ideas to help with ears sticking out? Thanks, (Kathy's husband)
