Guest guest
Hi, Jodi. The infection that Max has is called H-Pylori and also known as helicobacter. It is a bacterial infection that occurs in the stomach and is a common source of ulcers. Max has had it before and been quite sick with it. It's been a couple of years, though. I'm pretty frustrated today. I called the GI on call yesterday afternoon and he never called me back. I put another call in about 10 minutes ago and he has not called back. (They say they call back within 15 minutes. Right.) I don't know what this dr. can do or say, but he is the one in the practice who is an expert on rumination, so I want to hear what he thinks. Max's hiccups are very deep and gut- wrenching. He is so sore from all of this! He is sleeping, though. He sleeps for a few hours, wakes up hiccuping and then goes back to sleep. I don't know how he stays in such good spirits. I'd be beside myself by now. Jodi Z
Guest guest
Thanks for the info. on H Pylori. Interesting. I can't believe you haven't gotten a phone call back yet. Keep being persistent though. That's what makes you so great. You never give up.....and of course you shouldn't! ) I am sure Max is very sore, but he is dealing with it so well. And, like Debby said, he has learned these coping skills from you guys. It takes good parents to have good kids. You guys have done very well. I know you are stressed for him. I would be as well. But, just know you are doing everything you can for him. It is hard for us because we want o take their pain and suffering away, but can't a lot of times. Hang in there and continue to remain strong. Keep on those doctors, and let us know about the results of the infection. I hope you all have a great day, Jodi R. > Hi, Jodi. Guest guest
YOu said the exact words that I needed to hear, Jodi. Thank you so much. I'm so hurt by my husband's actions, or lack thereof. He'll be quite nice to me later, after he returns from taking his father home, but I will still be hurt. Thank you for understanding.
