Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if someone could please give me tips and advice on what to include on an insurance denial letter. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Our insurance covered the first band with no problem and actually approved it in 1 day. We decided to see if they would pay for the second band as he still has some facial and ear asymmetry. He actually met the requirements for BCBS with his numbers being an 8 or 9. However, they denied the second band stating it was only cosmetic and it would not be covered. And that they would not be requesting money back for the first band. Also stated that the first band should have never been approved. They did state that they had two different physician groups review the information and they stated as well it was cosmetic. I disagree 100 percent with this. I am just wondering why some physicians really just see this as cosmetic? It is very frustrating. My son has both plagiocephaly and torticollis. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance.
