Guest guest
Sheryl, You asked at what age Max got better...That's a tough one. I guess I would say that within the past year he has calmed down and been able to focus better and take responsibility for many things. He used to get so anxious that he would make himself sick and wind up in the hospital for weeks. Now he is over that and able to express himself. But he still has educational issues and always will. We have just learned how to manage them and how to help him help himself. I have to say that I never thought he would be doing as well as he is now. It has taken years of hard work, money and time. Guest guest
Sheryl, You have no idea of what we did for Max when he was younger. We were all over the place trying to find a diagnosis, treatment, etc. We went to town, NJ, NYC, Philadelphia, Boston.... We tried three different endos, two geneticists, two GIs, a psychiatrist, psychologist, neurologist, nephrologist, surgeon, ENT, and all sorts of therapies. I think you get the idea. Believe me, there are more to list. One thing you will be able to do in the future is have the knowledge that you have done everything you can for your Dakoda. You will never look back and say, " What if... " You may think you are chasing rainbows now, but in a few years you will be happy that you did.
