Hi

I live in Mass and my girlfriend is going through the same

dilemma as you right now. Her daughter 3yo who just got DX with PDD-NOS ( has

also a 5 1/2yo Pdd-NOS ) started ABA and the school told her NO SHOTS NO

SCHOOL. She just bit the bullet and had the Measels done only ( had to pay

out of pocket because Fallon wouldn't cover it ). Her daughter had diarrhea

and was screaming uncontrollable most of the day until she fell asleep from

exhaustion.

As far as I know you just have to fill out the religious form

and hand it into the school. Personally I don't know anyone who went this

route in Mass so you might want to consult an advocate or lawyer. I have a

copy somewhere of the religious exempt form that you print up and fill in the

blanks if you would like I could hunt it down and E-mail it.

Hugs, Terry

P.S. Have you joined the class action law suit in Mass? There is about 200

families so far and we are suing ( sp? ) the makers of vaccines for the

leathel levels of mercury that were put into the vaccines then into our

childrens body.

Hi - I live in MA too and although my son is 12 y.o. I was able to get our

pediatrician to write a letter stating that it is medically necessary to

avoid any vaccines at this time until he is stable and healthy enought to

recieve them. He is due for Hep B and Chicken Pox and I have been able to

avoid this for the past 3 yrs. You might want to get titers tested - this

helped us avoid an MMR and we had him include this on the letter also. We

have to do it every year but it seems that there is finally a bit of

awareness or they are not as quite as sure or adament about this as they used

to be. Hope this helps.
