Guest guest
, Tell the thin guy lurking inside you that sushi works! I waited about 2-3 months before daring to eat it--I was " listening " to my body and eating only things that seemed to feel OK, and, as time went on, more and more things seemed OK, including sushi. Main difference is that when my wife and I go out for sushi, the bill comes to around $35 instead of $70, because I just cannot eat anywhere as much as pre-op. But, that's what it's all about! Hamachi, maguro, sake sushis, mixed tempura appetizer, miso soup, salad, . . . ALL OF THE ABOVE! Not to fear, Brother! --Steve At 5:53 PM +0000 11/15/01, pensiondude@... wrote: >...he biggest item I will miss( for a >while) is Sushi. If I have to give it up, thats cool with me. Guest guest
Sushi IS real food! and not all of it is uncooked. Personally, I plan to eat a LOT of sushi post-op as my protein source. Like I need an excuse to blow money on sushi...hahaha! > Ummm...all you sushi lovers.....we are talking about RAW FISH here, > right? Guest guest
JJ: Not all sushi is made with raw fish some is cooked. I eat all types of shellfish but not regular fish. But shrimp, clams, scallops, muscles and I do love raw oysters but I prefer east coast or Gulf waters for oysters I find the ones here in Washington kind of dense and chewy it is the one shellfish I cannot eat cooked it makes me sick.
