If you file Social Security disability, then the insurance payments can go up because they say their cost will be more. I agree that is stupid, like, you could have just as many claims being laid off, or on worker's comp as a current employee. I dont think you'll have any problem with the premiums if you are just claiming through disability insurance. Good luck!
